I was able to go to Thompson today for the first procedure outside of a cleaning. I had a lot of anxiety and they made me feel so welcomed and helped me calm down. I never had any pain and even when they were worried I would they made sure I was comfortable. So greatful for them!

Been going here for years and will not be returning. The day of appointment they wanted to reschedule as this would have been the second time in a month (I get it people get sick) Instead of calling me they were texting me trying to get me rescheduled. I called them and explained that I really needed to be seen and needed to get my 6 month cleaning and told me they’ll just text someone else and tell them they need to reschedule so I can have their appointment (way to make someone feel). I go to my appointment and when I walk in the receptionist is talking on the phone with someone about how one of the hygienist needs to just take a leave of absence while she has me and someone else waiting to be checked in. I go back for my appointment and voiced a concern that I had. The exam takes 30 minutes-I was told everything looked normal just my gums were really irritated (as always) and I had a few places that had some bad build up. They then try to inform me that I need to have this major cleaning which I told them I can’t afford and then changes to a different cleaning that is also not covered on my insurance and that they wouldn’t even be able to do it today mind you it’s 4:30 by this time. I voice my concern that I can’t afford anything extra right now and just want to go ahead with my regular 6 month cleaning. I am then denied a service in which they would not clean my teeth after me requesting it several times but informed it wouldn’t be ethical and I needed to come back in 3 months for this special cleaning. 3 months?? If my teeth needed this special cleaning why would we wait three months? Or at least go ahead and do my regular 6 month cleaning and then me just return in 3 months? I felt they were just trying to get me out of the office. I was very disappointed and wasn’t happy with how I was treated at my appointment and I will not be returning.

I was treated well by the reception staff and carefully listened to and evaluated by the dental assistant and then Dr. Bowers. She made some adjustments to the implant and was very reassuring. This was all well with the drive to Georgetown for time optimization. John L

Coming from a person who is petrified of Dentist… Upon entering their office, it was inviting, clean, and very tastefully (relaxing) decorated. The front desk staff was very friendly and communicative. My hygienist Rachel immediately put me at ease, answered all questions and explained everything before she was doing it. She was excellent! I was then seen by Dr. Everett, who was very calming, answered all questions, Explained what would be taking place next. She assured me I would be comfortable. Upon checking out, you will speak with Bre a very knowledgeable and helpful staff member who will help you complete all the necessary future arrangements and her knowledge of the insurance was wonderful. Thank you Thompson‘s family dental.
