I made an appointment with the oral surgery department because I was in pain related to a wisdom tooth. Before the appointment, my dentist prescribed antibiotics, which helped improve my condition. I replied to their text message approximately 72 hours before the scheduled appointment to inform them that I could not make it.
Despite giving proper notice and not receiving any services, I was later charged $200. It does not make sense to be billed for an appointment that was canceled well in advance and where no treatment or consultation took place.
This experience was frustrating and disappointing. I would expect clearer communication and fair billing practices from a medical provider.

I was very impressed by Dr. Rega he was very pleasant and made me feel at ease immediately after meeting him. He removed 2 broken teeth in 5 minutes and made sure I was numbed up and hardly felt anything. Afterwards I had very little pain, and the numbness didn't make my mouth feel weird. I had been putting off this procedure because I was nervous about being in pain among other things but so far I feel ok and this is day 2.

I really didn’t want to leave this review, but after almost two months of no response from Dr. Rega’s office, I feel I need to share my experience.
Dr. Rega first placed an implant in 2023 that later turned out to be crooked and too close to a neighboring tooth, confirmed by two other dentists. When I brought this up, my concerns were dismissed and I was reassured he was right and they were wrong. I later returned for additional extractions and implants, but again the alignment was off.
When I asked for a partial refund a couple of months ago, I was told the work wasn’t “textbook ideal,” but “functional,” so no refund would be given. I’m sharing this so others can make informed choices — ask questions, request scans, and get second opinions before proceeding. I wish I had done the same.

I had a terrible experience with this oral surgeon. I went there with some pain, and the procedure made it much worse. He assured me he will sort things out quickly for me and I will be out of pain in no time. The numbing injection was extremely painful, may be he put the ingestion on wrong muscle ad it triggered some side effects after the surgery when the medicine was going away. and the extraction was handled very roughly — I was in tears whole time. The surgery had to be stopped after about 30 minutes due to unbearable pain.
Afterward, I experienced severe swelling, jaw spasms (it was long nightmare) and my jaw was locked for weeks, making it hard to eat or speak. The surgeon never followed up, and when I returned for help, he barely checked or offered any solution.
On top of that, they charged the full amount upfront, even though the surgery wasn’t completed, and it took nearly two months to get my refund. The staff was also unhelpful and unresponsive (very rude).
I would not recommend this place to anyone — it was one of the worst experiences of my life. I wish I could give him minus stars.

Dr Regas seemed nice and recommended a wisdom tooth extraction and had appointment set on one Monday afternoon two weeks out.
I was scared having never had a tooth extracted and when the staff called previous Thursday, told them I needed time to think about it and was hoping to do it two weeks out or next month and am really worried about the pain.
Instead of assuring me or setting another appointment with the doctor for another assurance consultation, staff calls back and tells me I will be charged 200$ because of late notice.Note: they called me Thursday and appointment is Monday afternoon. I go on to explain I might want to reschedule, this rule lady grabs the phone: tells me it’s the office policy or whatever very rudely.
Regardless of how much or what the case is,
this immediately made me lose confidence that they probably just want my money not my wellbeing.
To the Dr: if you are reading this. Get better gentle, kind staff. This is a trust thing. I don’t want to be under anesthesia with that staff around. No wonder the ratings are low. I wonder how much business loss they caused considering all the negative comments about them.

Meet the Doctors

Dr. Rega earned his dental degree at New York University College of Dentistry and completed his internship and oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he served as chief resident. He serves as an anesthesia permit examiner for the California state dental board, has published and lectured on dental implantology and maxillofacial infections, and lists dental implants, outpatient anesthesia and in-office surgery as special interests.
