I had gum grafting surgery three months ago with Dr. Bui and the result is amazing. The entire experience from my consult to my three month follow up was incredible. I opted to be fully awake for the procedure, not only did I not feel a thing, even the numbing shots were painless. Dr. Bui talked to me throughout to make sure I was ok, and she and her nurse seemed very excited by the outcome at the end of the surgery which made me feel good. The recovery process was easy and I am very happy I followed through. I had put this off a couple years, had a consult as well with a different office and I just did not feel good about the vist or the doctor. Ueno was very professional and I never felt rushed, Dr. Bui took her time with me and explained everything. Prior to my surgery I had a dental cleaning with them and yesterday at my post op had another dental cleaning which was very thorough and the hygienist was the best I have ever had. I was cleared to go back to my regular dentist which is a good thing, but I will miss going to Ueno. Thank you Dr. Bui and staff, everyone from the doctor, to the hygienist and reception desk were spectacular.

I had oral surgery and a dental implant done at the Ueno Center in Campbell, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Dr. Ueno is calm, confident, and clearly extremely skilled — he explained everything thoroughly and made the entire process feel very straightforward and stress-free. The staff deserves just as much praise. From the front desk to the surgical assistants, everyone was warm, professional, and attentive. They checked on me constantly, made sure I was comfortable, and somehow managed to make oral surgery feel … almost relaxing (which I never thought I’d say). The procedure went smoothly, recovery was exactly as described, and the follow-up care was excellent. You can tell this is a well-run practice where people genuinely care about their patients. If you need oral surgery or implants and want to feel confident you’re in great hands, I highly recommend Dr. Ueno and his entire team.

EDIT after learning more. There was a miscommunication with my dentist and the ball was dropped on scheduling. I think blame can be passed around but i wouldn't only blame Ueno here. They should make an effort to communicate more directly with clients` general dentists as Ueno should want to ensure best outcomes for their patients. But they can't take full blame as the general dentist should also schedule something when they receive the paperwork. Outside of this issue, this is an excellent place to go. ---- Surprised and disappointed by the experience here. Not as surprised after reading recent reviews. Something might have changed recently in terms of quality of care. I had the procedure, but the follow up was totally botched by them. Now I'm in a position where I've had an expensive surgery and didn't have appropriate follow up. They clearly told me that I wasn't released to my dentist yet. I had an appointment set in 6 months after my last check. Now they are saying I was supposed to go to my original even after the hygienist mentioned that I wasn't released yet. They are also unresponsive. I left a message and no one got back to me, I needed to follow up. To make things worse, they tried to push my appointment to almost 8 months after my prior appointment. I wouldn't expect this level of lack of care. I hope others can benefit from this review and take care of themselves. Good luck.

This review is for Lynna Bui, whom I saw today regarding gum recession concerns. Unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing and, at times, unprofessional. Most concerning was a note included in documentation emailed to me after the appointment. The note stated: “I really hope that mean lady (my name) won’t schedule. Such a mean person.” The comment was attached to Lynna Bui’s name and profile picture with her family, clearly indicating she wrote it. Receiving internal remarks of this nature in patient documentation is highly inappropriate and unethical, to say the least. When Lynna Bui entered the room, she stated that she had been informed I typically take prophylactic antibiotics before dental visits and told me that if I chose to take them and wait, she would no longer have time to examine me. This occurred after I had already spent nearly an hour in the office and completed the required imaging and photographs, including a CT scan, all of which required payment. I informed her that I am immunocompromised, which was clearly documented in my medical history forms, and asked whether I could periodically rinse during the examination to avoid swallowing plaque or debris. Lynna, however, told me there was not enough time for that accommodation. While I could elaborate on additional interactions during the visit, the overall experience left me feeling dismissed and uncomfortable as a patient. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage others seeking periodontal care to consider alternative providers, as I will be doing.

A very professional and skillful group. I had an implant by UENO. Much to my surprise, I experienced virtually no pain nor swelling. The follow-up visits were equally as pleasant. After a couple months, finally ready for the crown. This is not a cheap thing to do but UENO was very competitive.
