Dr. Jessica Kim is a wonderful dentist and she has a very professional and compassionate staff. They made me comfortable and at ease. I would recommend Dr. Kim to anyone who is looking for a new dentist.

Went in for a teeth cleaning yesterday and although I am truly scared of the dentist my experience was pleasant. The service provided was outstanding. My teeth feel super clean. I have veneers too but the dental hygienist worked very carefully with them. Couldn't be happier!

Urban Dental has truly been a blessing for me, and after going there for the last seven years, I can honestly say they have consistently provided outstanding care. I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience. Everyone is kind, patient, and understanding, and I have always felt genuinely supported and cared for. What I especially want to share is how life-changing Botox for my jaw has been. I was very hesitant at first because I had been dealing with jaw pain for so long that it had become part of my everyday life. Eating was uncomfortable, my jaw was constantly hurting, and I even experienced swelling in my temples. I kept putting it off because I was unsure, but finally deciding to do it was one of the best choices I have made for myself. The relief has been incredible. It has made such a difference in my day-to-day life, and I only wish I had done it sooner. For anyone who has lived with this kind of jaw pain, tension, and discomfort, I cannot recommend this enough. Urban Dental gave me real relief and helped me feel like I did not have to keep living with that pain. After seven years as a patient, I can say with complete confidence that Urban Dental is exceptional. I am beyond grateful for the care I have received and would absolutely give them five stars. I highly recommend them, especially to anyone considering Botox for jaw pain.

Update 2026: We've been patients of Dr Kim since she started her practice. She is so capable and has assembled a top team in downtown SD. Her offices have all the most up-to-date tech, making visits more efficient and comfortable. It's an efficient, professional and caring dental office. Dr Kim has a gentle touch, reviews treatment plans and costs with you, offer options and answers all your questions regarding dental care. The whole team makes sure you are well taken care of - from assistants, hygienists and the office team.

Meet the Doctors
Urban Dental is led by Dr. Jessica Kim. Born in Los Angeles and raised in San Diego from the age of three, Dr. Kim studied physiology and neuroscience at UC San Diego before attending dental school at USC. She then completed a general practice residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. A lifelong lover of art and dance, she encourages patients who paint or create art to share their work, and many of those pieces hang on the office walls. Joining her is Dr. Loan Huynh, known to patients as Dr. Lindsey, a general dentist who has worked in the dental field for more than twenty years, first as a dental assistant and then as a dentist. She believes in a conservative, preventive approach to care while using the latest dental technology. Outside the office, she enjoys hiking, sailing with her family, and indoor cycling.
