The office staff were always welcoming and helpful. I would like to especially recognize Angie Knapp who guided me through the process. Her willingness to spend time answering my questions and her support meant the world to me. I was extremely grateful to Dr. Bryan Wheeler who completely eased my anxiety. During the procedure, he explained step by step what was going to happen next. Dr. Wheeler’s calming demeanor helped me through a tooth extraction and a bone graft. I’m so thankful for Dr. Wheeler and his staff who were always professional, supportive and helpful.

Going into any dental situation is quite nerve wracking for me! Much less having to have 3 extractions!!! Dr. Wheeler was so amazing, he made sure I was comfortable before starting. It took him all of 3 minutes to do all 3 extractions. It was an amazing experience with an amazing Dr!!!! Thank you so much Dr. Wheeler!!!!!

In all honesty I think you should rethink before using this location. I was referred from a friend that works at another location. He sent me to the location closest to me with Dr. Wheeler. They pulled my wisdom teeth and in the midst of that broke half of the tooth that was beside it plus I’ve been having excruciating pain on and off since my procedure in October ( It is now May) again not saying this company is horrible but definitely stay away from this location I’m in more pain as time goes on.

Dr.Wheeler is very knowledgeable and professional. The procedure (Tooth Extraction) went well and the staff was kind and reassuring. The wait time was a bit longer than expected, but the care I received made up for it. Overall, a good experience and I would recommend this practice.

I had all four wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Wheeler, and the whole team was so kind and welcoming. They made the scheduling process easy, and I felt comfortable the entire time. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone.

About Virginia Oral & Facial Surgery

Virginia Oral & Facial Surgery's Southside office at 11319 Polo Place in Midlothian is one of seven locations the practice operates across the greater Richmond, Virginia area. The practice describes itself as offering the full scope of oral surgery, from wisdom tooth removal and dental implant procedures to bone grafting and complete facial reconstruction, and it also diagnoses and treats TMJ (jaw joint) disorders. For patients missing one or more teeth, the site explains that a titanium implant replaces the tooth root, bone heals and bonds around it, and a support post and replacement crown are then placed on top. Options for patients missing all upper or lower teeth, implant-supported overdentures, and bone grafting for implants are also described on the site.

The practice emphasizes patient comfort, stating that it offers a range of anesthesia options from local anesthesia to intravenous (IV) sedation, and that surgeons explain treatment plans in detail and answer questions along the way. It also says it schedules surgeries and follow-ups with busy lifestyles in mind and does not overbook. The Southside office is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and it lists online patient registration, CareCredit financing, and insurance information for new patients. This location serves Midlothian, Bon Air, and surrounding communities in the Richmond metropolitan area.
