The entire team at this office is spectacular! I moved from Atlanta to SB a couple of years ago and so was lucky enough to find Dr. Grant’s office. Michelle in the front office has been so helpful navigating getting records from my previous dentist to making appointments and handling insurance issues. I’ve had a couple of tooth issues since becoming a patient and I’ve been so pleased with the level of comprehensive care I’ve received. Unfortunately I can’t mention each person by name, but what I can say is that every hygienist, dentist support, and of course Dr. Grant have made me feel very well taken care of and at a fair price. One of the best dental practices in SB!

I received 5star treatment across the board yesterday from Doctor Grant DDs in Santa Barbara yesterday. If they were a restaurant, I would rank them in Michelin stars.
Greeted warmly by Michelle upon arrival, gingerly X-rayed by Liz, expertly evaluated by Dr Grant, and lastly, a gleaming and painless polishing by Liz #2.
You all have earned a new life long customer in me.

I’m giving Weiser & Grant Dentistry a 3-star review based on my experience seeking help for TMD (temporomandibular joint disorder). While the office has many positives — including state-of-the-art 3D imaging, a welcoming environment, and genuinely kind and knowledgeable staff — my specific journey with TMD treatment ultimately left me disappointed and unhealed.
I first visited Dr. Grant in April of 2023 due to chronic TMD symptoms, including daily headaches caused by nighttime jaw clenching and teeth grinding. I had read positive reviews about Dr. Grant’s success in treating TMD and was hopeful for a similar outcome.
During my initial consultation, Dr. Grant performed a thorough assessment, including a 3D digital scan of my teeth, bite, and jaw position, followed by a bite registration and a muscle/joint analysis. Based on these findings, he recommended a custom night guard (also referred to as a splint, appliance, deprogrammer, or device). This would be fabricated by Great Lakes Dental Lab in New York using advanced CAD software and the digital data from my scans.
Once the device was manufactured and had been sent to Dr. Grant's office, I met with Dr. Grant to ensure the fit was correct. He explained that there would be an initial “reprogramming” phase — roughly two weeks — during which the device would feel uncomfortable, but that, over time, my jaw would learn to relax and the symptoms would subside.
Unfortunately, that never happened. From the first night, I found the device incredibly uncomfortable to wear. It prevented me from fully closing my mouth, which forced me to breathe through my mouth during sleep — leading not only to continued headaches from grinding and clenching, but also sore throats. Despite multiple adjustments to the device and many attempts to adapt over the course of a year, the device never became tolerable, and my symptoms worsened.
I’ve since shifted my focus to treating the root causes of my TMD through myofascial therapy, which has shown more promise for me personally.
For some, the custom device may be life-changing. For me, it was an expensive and frustrating year-long journey that, unfortunately, didn’t bring me the relief I was hoping for.

After having multiple painful experiences with different dentists in town (including holistic practices), I came across Dr. Grants office thanks to ChatGPT when searching for compassionate and gentle staff who are conservative in their approach.
I have been in for cleanings and a consultation for a more serious situation, and each time I leave feeling blown away that I can feel so much peace, care and most importantly pain free. The entire team truly cares about my wellbeing, both physically and emotionally, and Michelle at the front desk is possibly the nicest human I have ever met.
Both hygienists I’ve had, as well as Dr. Grant get a 5* experience from me (possibly the biggest hater of going to the dentist on the planet).

I am 50 years old and have now been using the ProSomnus® EVO™ Sleep and Snore Device fitted by Dr. Weiser for 5 years. I was previously waking up 17 times per hour and snoring loudly throughout the night, enough to turn away good company. I was also experiencing fatigue and fogginess. I am happy to report that it has made a huge difference in reducing my snoring to almost nil (except when I drink alcohol), and I feel much more rested. I found CPAP devices impossibly uncomfortable and am averse to surgical options, but this really worked for me with minimal impact and ease. It's been a true game changer for my life and wellbeing! Thank you Dr. Weiser!

About Weiser & Grant Dentistry
Weiser & Grant Dentistry is located at 1511 State Street in downtown Santa Barbara and serves patients from Santa Barbara and Montecito. For patients considering dental implants, the practice offers both traditional titanium implants and metal-free ceramic implants, along with full-mouth reconstruction for more extensive cases. Treatment starts with a careful screening that includes X-rays, CT scans, and a bone assessment to confirm you are a good candidate, and the team explains each step of the process before any work begins.
The practice takes a whole-health approach that distinguishes it from many implant providers. The office practices biological, mercury-safe dentistry, uses ozone therapy, and offers laser dentistry along with sedation options, including intravenous sedation, for patients who feel anxious about implant surgery. Implants are placed and restored in the same office, and the practice also provides cosmetic services such as porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, and Invisalign for patients who want to improve the surrounding teeth once implant treatment is complete.
