Had a not great experience with Willowbrook oral surgery (wisdom teeth removal with Dr. Maxfeild). Im very dissatisfied with the level of information and care we received. Upon calling to schedule for wisdom teeth extractions was told they dont do consultation appointments but that everything would be gone over before the extractions take place. Upon arrival to the appointment I had to stop the assistants twice from starting an IV because I hadn't been given information on what was happening. Finally the Dr told them to hold off until I got some information given to me. After the surgery they were rushing us out of recovery until i said no shes still seeing double we arnt leaving yet. We Scheduled a follow-up for 2 weeks (that was the first day they had available). At the follow-up we had questions and were told she would heal up, she looks fine by the assistant. That most people heal in 2 weeks, mind you this was our two week appointment. I pointed that out and was told then she will take 3-4 weeks by the assistant. I asked about suture sites and pain in her teeth and jaw and was told "she looks fine to me". I requested to talk to the dr but was told he had an appointment that I would have to wait 45 mins or so to talk to him. So why did I schedule a follow-up appointment if I didn't even get to see the Dr? So from the initial appointment I have been pushed aside and not given information and requested more info and still haven't had my questions answered. In hind sight when we showed up to the appointment and they kept trying to start her IV we should have walked out then because I still dont have my questions answered and I feel like I was dismissed everytime I asked any questions. I just don't feel like I should have to use Google to research how/what is normal healing because the Dr office couldn't be bothered to give us any information.

I went to have a two wisdom teeth removed and had a bad experience with them. First while removing my wisdom tooth, one of the tools they used broke and they left a METAL piece in my sinus.
I went through two sinus infections and had to be on antibiotics for what felt like forever. I went to the urgent care when I got the first sinus infection, after being prescribed antibiotics, I made an appointment to go back to them. I was peppered with questions that were framed in a way that made it seem like I was not taking proper care of the tooth extraction site. I pointed out that one side was fine, so how can it be only the other side that is the problem. They just prescribed me antibiotics and sent me on my way without trying to see if it could have been anything else.
Well my beautiful daughter was going to be born that week and while my wife was in labor I got another sinus infection when the antibiotics ran out. I had to go through my daughter’s first moments in discomfort and pain. After my daughter was born I went back again but was told to meet the surgeon at some salt lake county location. I went and described to him the difficult time I had been having the past two weeks or so and told him that I felt like I was going crazy because I was following all the instructions and that I don’t know why my sinus keeps getting infected.
He decided to have me take X-rays and that’s when we discovered that a metal piece was left in my sinus and that was what was causing all my discomfort and the sinus infections I was getting. So I had to get ANOTHER surgery to remove it. I had to take unpaid time off of work to deal with the sinus infections, going to urgent cares, and going to them to for the second surgery and the recovery time.
Also their billing department does not know what they are doing they charged somewhere like $600 upfront and when I called my insurance on their request because they were having a hard time doing their job, my insurance told me that I should of not paid anything upfront that they would cover the surgery. I went back and spoke to the owner and told him what my insurance said, he told me he would send me a check through the mail that I never received. So now I’m out the money and the unpaid time off I had to take from the second surgery also the pain and suffering I had to endure while trying to enjoy my daughter’s first moments.
Overall I have to rate this place a one star, I wish I could rate lower. I had a terrible experience, and will not be going back and will be letting all my friends and family to avoid this place.
I will say that the workers in the office were very nice.

Got referred here for a root canal. Coinsurance 20%, charged $513, and after my mouth is open in the chair, they say, 'make sure you get scheduled when your regular dentist to get a crown as soon as possible'. You're not doing it?!? You're just going to drill someone's tooth apart without a plan on what's happening next? Then somehow they're doing me a favor by putting in a filling so I'm able to 'get by' until I can make another appointment. Top all that off with inappropriate jokes about having their children murder them when they get dementia. I guarantee you're being overcharged coming here; they've got a freaking arcade in the waiting room.

Had my wisdom removal, root canal, and extraction done here. They know what they're doing with the numbing, perhaps a bit too well, and I didn't feel a thing during or even after most of my procedures. You're in good hands here.
