Beware and DO NOT use this practice for any services if you want fair and just service. I made an appt with this practice for a second opinion because I heard good things from a collegue at work. They asked for any recent xrays or scans to be sent to their practice prior to my scheduled visit. I had them sent over in planty of time. Did not hear from the office that they had any difficulty with receiving the scans. When I arrived at the office for my appt I was told they were unable to open the scans so I had to have them repeated for a cost of $400.00+ out of pocket because insurance wouldnt cover it. It wouldnt cover it because they only cover one a year. And since I already had one this one I had to pay for. This is robbery. When I asked the receptionist why I was not told that the scan was not able to be opened she did not have an answer. She just said it was the way it was sent. And she was very rude like I should just accept this and pay for another scan. I told her I should have been notified about the issue and given a chance to figure out why or change my appt until the problem was solved. But I heard nothing. She again had no explanation. She also said if I choose not to stay for my appt they would charge me the cancelation fee of $100. I stayed. Went back to the room when called and again was told I had to have the scan and there was no other solution. I chose to leave. They billed me for $100 when they did nothing for me. Also, there were two ladies in the waiting room who agreed with me that dentist and oral surgeons are notorious for making sure they charge as much as possible for any visit esp when xrays etc are involved. There is no way with our present technology that Wood and Myers could not open a scan that was sent to them. They wanted to falsely charge me for something I did not need and then if I would have agreed charge me an exorbitant amount of money for whatever service they provided BE careful, they will take you for all you got.......find somewhere esle to go

BEWARE OF DR. ARYA!!!!! We took my husband for a two-week postop check after his oral surgery, and while the surgery itself went smoothly and there have been no complications, our experience with dr. Arya communication and professionalism was extremely disappointing. Prior to the appointment, we had concerns regarding pain management over the weekend, and it took approximately 3–4 hours to receive a response regarding a prescription refill while my husband was in significant discomfort. That delay alone was frustrating and stressful during recovery but still forgivable. During the post-op visit, I asked questions regarding implant options so we could better understand the plan moving forward. Rather than responding with patience or clarifying any misunderstanding in terminology, the doctor became visibly irritated and defensive. It felt as though my questions were being taken as a personal challenge rather than a reasonable effort to advocate for my husband’s care. What was most concerning, however, was the doctor asking my husband, DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ME if he wanted to speak privately without his “little girlfriend” in the room, referring to me. This comment was shockingly disrespectful, dismissive, and deeply unprofessional. Regardless of intent, there is no place for belittling or demeaning language in a medical setting, especially toward a patient’s spouse and advocate. I told him to NEVER say something like that to someone else and he replied with “oh I will” Patients and their family members should feel comfortable asking questions and participating in care without being mocked, dismissed, or spoken down to. While we appreciate that the surgery itself was successful…. professionalism, communication, and respect matter just as much as clinical skill. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling disrespected and unwelcome. And we have discovered the terminology I used to explain the preferred implant was wrong and we realized the practice DOES offer the implant were interested in… we won’t be continuing treatment with him. It was horrifying and disgusting. And he also likes to point around with his long nails which I found to be unsanitary in a medical setting.

Beware of Woods and Meyer on Linglestown Rd (Harrisburg office). I took my son to this location to have all four of his wisdom teeth removed. The procedure itself went fine, but everything afterward was an absolute nightmare. After the surgery, they called in his pain medication, and when I went to pick it up, the pharmacy told me they couldn’t release it because it required a prior authorization. I called the oral surgeon’s office and left a message explaining the situation. While waiting, I contacted our insurance company myself and spoke directly with the prior authorization department. They confirmed the medication did need authorization and even gave me a direct number for the surgeon’s office to call so it could be approved faster. Nearly three hours went by with no response, so I drove 25 minutes back to the Harrisburg office. When I spoke to the nurse, she told me this is “very common” and that it can take up to two weeks to get medication approved. I explained that the insurance department said the surgeon could call to expedite it, and she flat-out told me, “We don’t do that,” and that I could just pay out of pocket. I asked to have the office manager call me. An hour later she did—only to repeat the same dismissive, unhelpful responses. I told her exactly what the insurance told me, and she basically brushed it off, saying, “Yeah, that happens, but this is how we do things.” She was rude, unsympathetic, and showed zero concern for the fact that I had a child who had just had all four wisdom teeth removed and was in pain with no access to his medication. The lack of communication, compassion, and willingness to help was unbelievable. We have never had issues with their Camp Hill office, but the Harrisburg location was a completely different experience. Never again!!

Wonderful experience from start to finish. Calling to schedule an appointment was easy and efficient. They offered a wait list to help try to get me in sooner. Checking in was quick and easy. They have wonderful front desk staff. Very kind and friendly. The back staff were all great. The assistant was nice and comforting. The nurse anesthetist was cautious and caring. Dr. Arya was caring and reassuring. They all worked together to make a great experience. I am grateful.

Preface this by saying I had major anxiety about this to the point I couldn’t sleep the days before. Dr Hector S., surgical assistant, nursing staff, and CRNA were amazing and very kind to me. They explained everything to me clearly. I requested to be put under fast due to how anxious I was and they did so. Dr. Hector S called me afterwards to ask about how I was feeling. All around great experience!
