    How this list was ranked

We started with the 51 active dental implant practices in our directory within the Akron metro area, defined by distance from the metro's principal city. We removed 11 locations that belong to national or regional dental service organizations or chain brands, leaving 40 independent practices.

Of those, 36 had a public Google rating with at least 20 reviews. Each was scored on its Google rating weighted by review volume, so a 5.0 across hundreds of reviews ranks above a 5.0 across a few dozen. The average rating among eligible practices here is 4.81.

Ratings and review counts are as of October 2026. The list is published once a year and is not affected by paid listings. Practices cannot pay to be included.

    Awarded practices: get your badge

Two ways to add the 2026 badge to your website. Both place the badge and the link back to this list. Below them, a ready-to-post social media image for your practice.

    Option A

    Paste the code

For sites with an HTML or custom code block. The badge and its link arrive together, so there is nothing else to set up.

    Option B

Upload the image and link it

For Wix, Squarespace, and WordPress image blocks. Add the badge as an image, then set the image's link to this page. Your site builder handles the size.

Link the image to this address

    • Wix: drag the PNG onto the page, click the link icon on the image, choose Web address, paste the address, click Done. Leave Advanced SEO Settings as they are. Do not use the Embed HTML element; it places the badge in a frame.
    • WordPress: add an Image block, upload the PNG, click the link icon in the block toolbar, paste the address, press Enter.
    • Squarespace: add an Image block, upload the PNG, open the Design tab, paste the address into Clickthrough URL.

    Social media

    Download your social post

A ready-to-post square image with the badge and your practice name, sized for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Pick your practice and download.

Badge terms: the badge may be displayed only by the practices named on this page and only when it links to this page, so patients and future dental prospects can verify the recognition is real. Displays are checked. Unlinked badges are asked to be fixed or removed.

    Questions about this list

How were the Top 5 practices in Akron chosen?
We started with every active dental implant practice within the Akron metro area in our directory, removed chains and dental service organizations, and kept practices with a Google rating and at least 20 Google reviews. Each practice was scored on its rating weighted by review volume, so a 5.0 across 900 reviews ranks above a 5.0 across 40. The 5 highest scores make the list, which is shown in alphabetical order.
What counts as an independent practice?
A practice that is not part of a national or regional dental service organization (DSO) or a multi-market chain brand. Single-location practices and locally owned groups qualify. Chains are excluded because this award is meant to recognize independently owned implant practices.
Can a practice pay to be on this list?
No. Placement is based only on public Google ratings and review counts. Practices cannot pay to be included, and paid directory listings do not affect the ranking.
How often is the list updated?
Once a year. This is the 2026 list. Each year's list is ranked from the data available at the time it is published and stays as a record of that year.

Other Ohio lists: Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland, Dayton, Toledo. All metros.
